I have been a woodcarver and cabinetmaker for nearly 50 years. Largely self-taught, I began relief carving as a hobby in school, and have since combined carving with traditional joinery to produce a variety of tables, desks, cabinets, boxes and mirror frames.

I make studio furniture in my workshop in Great Falls, VA. Working in native Virginia hardwoods such as walnut, cherry, and oak I create unique, one of a kind, pieces that are both artistic and functional. My style ranges between Arts & Crafts to Mid-Century Modern. On this website you'll see some examples of my work but I would be happy to meet with you personally to design the perfect piece for your home.

Gary creates lathe turned pieces including segmented bowls, natural edge and distressed wood bowls, spalted bowls, platters, baby rattles, rolling pins, wands and spinning tops. For the holidays, Gary turns Christmas ornaments & decorations, and also dreidels for Hanukkah.
