What We Do
The Northern Virginia Handcrafters Guild provides many ways to get involved. Browse the options and see what works for you.
NVHG members have written articles and made presentations that discuss the techniques and challenges of working within specific categories of craft. Some articles or presentations are more general in nature and some are more focused on particular techniques. All of these articles are intended to give you insight into handcrafted materials, what goes in to the creation of them, important information for running a small business, and qualities to look for in hand-made arts and crafts. We are periodically adding articles to this page, so check back for something new soon.
Since its inception in 1972, the Northern Virginia Handcrafters Guild
(NVHG) has become one of the area’s foremost organizations promoting
individual craftsmanship, craft-related educational activities as well as
opportunities to sell made-in-America handcrafted works.
