NVHG THANKSGIVING ART & CRAFT SHOW
The Northern Virginia Handcrafters Guild (NVHG) will hold its annual Thanksgiving weekend show on November 24 - 26, 2023, at the Vienna Community Center in Vienna, Virginia (120 Cherry Street SE, Vienna, VA 22180). This show features over 50 local (Virginia, Maryland, and D.C.) juried artists and crafters.
This show, which has run for over 30 years, offers original, handmade arts and crafts, including decorative painting; fused, etched, painted, and stained glass; ceramics and pottery; woodworking; handweaving; paintings and drawings; textiles; jewelry; and other crafts. Included with the admission fee of $3 is a drawing for art and jewelry donated by the participating artisans.
The admission fee supports the NVHG scholarship program for college arts students. Children 12 and under are free. Ample free parking is available at the Vienna Community Center. The NVHG is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which also supports Second Story, a Northern Virginia home for teens in crisis, and Meals on Wheels.
The application process this year for vendors was through ZAPPlication, with the application process open to non-Guild members as well as members. To apply, applicants needed to submit six photos of their work plus a booth photo. Applicants were juried by the Guild’s Standards Committee. If you still wish to apply, please contact Cara Jablon at rcjablon@aol.com or 202-333-5332 to see if any spaces are still available.
