NVHG THANKSGIVING ART & CRAFT SHOW

The Northern Virginia Handcrafters Guild (NVHG) will holds its annual Thanksgiving weekend show the weekend after Thanksgiving, at the Vienna Community Center in Vienna, Virginia (120 Cherry Street SE, Vienna, VA 22180). This show features 40 – 60 local (Virginia, Maryland, and D.C.) juried artists and crafters from the NVHG. The show is now open for non-members to apply.

This show, which has run for over 30 years, offers original, handmade arts and crafts, including decorative painting; fused, etched, painted, and stained glass; ceramics and pottery; woodworking; handweaving; paintings and drawings; textiles; jewelry; and other crafts.

The admission fee supports the NVHG scholarship program for college arts students. Children 12 and under are free. Ample free parking is available at the Vienna Community Center. The NVHG is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which also supports Second Story, a Northern Virginia home for teens in crisis, and Meals on Wheels.

The show has included a drawing either for “NVHG Bucks,” which can be used at the show to purchase work from the show’s artisans, or a drawing for art and jewelry items and free classes donated by the show participants.
